Lifetime Finance Group donates to CHAS & NHS Charities Together

It’s now been over three months since we entered into COVID-19 lockdown, and our office closed. We’ve continued to stay open throughout this period with our staff 100% working from home.

When we were in the office, every Friday we would dress down and pay a donation to charity. We’re delighted to say we have virtually continued to do so the past three months. Although, the dress-down clothes may have become more relaxed while working from home – with PJs, gym gear and vests all making an appearance.

We can now announce our staff have raised £300, which has been matched by Lifetime Finance Group – bringing the total to £600.

We’ve decided to split these between two worthwhile charities – CHAS and NHS Charities Together.

Across the globe, we all face a challenge of unprecedented scale. In that regard, CHAS is neither unique nor alone. We know that the coming days, weeks and maybe even months will be increasingly hard for all and especially so for the children and families we look after. We are determined to continue to be where we are needed for those going through the darkest of times. Families like Esmée’s.

“Esmée does not see the world quite like you and me, but she does love to be under trees and lights and to see their shapes and shadows. Esmée’s favourite person in the world is her big sister, Ailsa, and her favourite thing is to laugh at funny faces, particularly if you sneeze and move your head around like an owl. We have quite a lot of ups and downs, a long list of medical appointments and several operations, with more on the way but we have received fantastic support from CHAS and Rachel House for which we are so grateful”

CHAS is known for going above and beyond for children and families, and we are doing everything in our power to continue the vital service that you make possible with your generosity and support.

COVID-19: Our Update

As news of the Coronavirus continues to hit the headlines, we thought we’d update you with how we will continue to serve you.

The health of our staff and their families comes first, so we have advised them all now to 100% work from home.

Predominantly we are a phone and online-based business, so we have had the capabilities for some to work from home previously. We have now rolled this out to the full team to keep everything business as usual.

Staying Connected

The key for us to is remain connected with each other. With various communication channels available these days, we want to ensure our staff and clients are all still getting that same interaction that they are used to. We’re making full use of Video chats for meetings via Microsoft Teams, so we’re still maintaining that human interaction as well as keeping everyone informed on day-to-day business.

It’s a strange world out there at the moment – keeping a good health is a priority, especially those with vulnerable family members.

During these unprecedented times, we still look to ensure you, the customer, are securing the most suitable policy or mortgage for your circumstances:

  • We’ll continually review existing mortgages, meaning you could save money on your monthly mortgage payments.
  • We’ll process new mortgages – meaning if you’re buying your first home, moving home or looking at a buy to let – we’ll help.
  • We’ll keep processing your protection options – for new policies and reviews of current ones. With health and income a big topic at the moment, we will ensure to discuss the right options for you.
  • We are working with all our network, lenders, providers and suppliers to ensure we can continue to provide you with the high level of service that you are used to.

Thank you for all your continued support. Please take care and stay safe.

Lifetime Finance Group take part in Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal 2019

For the third year running, we, at Lifetime Finance Group, are taking part in the Salvation Army’s Christmas Toy Appeal.

Along with the Salvation Army, we believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas. That’s why we have chosen to take part again this year. Last year our staff donated toys and gifts ranging for all ages. This year we are donating a further 20+ gifts – ranging from Lego, Barbies and Transformer toys to name but a few.

Over the years, millions of children and young people have benefited from gifts donated to The Salvation Army. It means children who were in need were able to receive Christmas gifts, where as without the Salvation Army’s help they may have received nothing.

The Salvation Army continues to help many families throughout the year, so they know that this Christmas there is still a real need to support the children and families who are struggling to make ends meet, and in many cases going without essentials to ensure that they have the basics of food, heat and light for their children.

Our Charity Fundraising Total Announced

We’re delighted to announce, from our generous staff donations from our “Dress Down” Fridays over the past few months, we have raised an incredible total of £1,067!

Instead of focussing in on one charity, we asked our advisers and case managers which charities meant the most to them. So, with that in mind, we are happy to announce the five charities that have been picked to share our fundraising total.

  • CHAS
      • CHAS cares for children in Scotland with life shortening conditions and also supports their families. They are there for the whole family and understand the important role brothers and sisters play in caring for their sibling.
  • Alzheimer Scotland
      • At the present time, Alzheimer Scotland estimate that there are over 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland and it is predicted this number will continue to significantly increase in the coming years. Sadly, there is no current cure for dementia and only a few forms of drug treatments are available, that is why they aim to provide as much support as possible and make sure no one faces dementia alone.
  • British Heart Foundation
      • The British Heart Foundation funds research to beat heartbreak from heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors.
  • MS Society
      • Donations to MS Society means that they can provide information, support and services to people living with MS, and funds millions of pounds of MS research every year.
  • St Andrews Hospice
      • St Andrews Hospice helps to provide specialist palliative care services for local people living in North and South Lanarkshire. As well as delivering inpatient care at the Hospice, they also provide support through our Outpatient Services and Community Projects.
      • Their annual running costs are approximately £7.3 million, of which nearly £4.6 million has to be raised each year from public donations.

A big thank you to all our staff for raising an incredible amount of money over the past few months. We will be continuing our fundraising in the coming months leading up to Christmas.
